Stevi-Lyn Dulmage, Registered Optician / Manager
Stevi-Lyn joined our eye care team in 2015. She is a graduate of the opticianry program and a registered member of the College of Opticians. In addition, she brings her attention to detail as a graduate from the Health Information Managment program at Fleming College. In her spare time she enjoys being in nature and spending time with her two dogs Darwin and Petrie

Katie Blondeau, Receptionist/ Optometric Assistant
Katie has been a member of our eye care team since the spring of 2016. She has over 13 years of retail management. She enjoys travelling, photography and spending time with family and friends.

Yelsy Corrales, Receptionist/ Optometric Technician
Yelsy arrived to Canada from Colombia in the fall of 2016. She has been working in the customer service industry for thirteen years as a medical secretary. Since her arrival in Canada, she enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as kayaking, skating, and skiing. She is thrilled to be a part of the team at Dr. Fernando Eye Care.

Hugh Foley, Registered Optician
Hugh Shaun Foley began his optical career in 1974 as a lab technician. He became an Optician and worked with the Geo. H.Nelms Group of Ottawa before coming to Peterborough in 1980 to open Nelms Opticians in Lansdowne place. Twenty years later, Hugh, John Chesser and Susan Newton opened Master Opticians in Peterborough. And now, another twenty years later, Master Opticians has been purchased by Dr. Fernando Eye Care. Hugh’s education and training comes from Ryerson Polytech and Seneca College, both in Toronto, as well as Emerald Low Vision, USA. Hugh’s optical specialties include bifocal contact lens fittings, and counselling on the use of magnifier aids for vision loss that conventional eye glasses can no longer correct. In another twenty years….!!!

John Chesser, Registered Optician
John Chesser began his career in the optical business in 1976, as a student optician, in Ottawa. At this time he was working and studying at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute. Upon graduating and writing the government exams he was licensed as an Ophthalmic Dispenser by the province of Ontario in November 1979. In 1980, John was sent from Ottawa to Peterborough to open and manage Nelms Opticians at the new Lansdowne place Mall. John ran this store for 18 years. During this time he worked with Hugh, Susan and Theresa, as well as many others. The next move was to open Master Opticians with Hugh and Susan which they ran together for another 18 years. In May of 2017 they sold the business to Dr. Fernando Eye Care. John continues to enjoy helping people and making their glasses. He is also kept very busy at home with his wife and 2 young children.
